The European convention of human rights covers things such as the right to: The five words are… Understanding. In this blog I will be looking at the health care system.

This is a treaty across Europe which is there to protect human rights and fundamental freedom. The answer is probably no even though their sentences are different. For example as a care worker you need to let people take control of their lives by helping individuals to do certain tasks if they need the help.

It also allows us to have an opinion about what we believe letting us be able to be our selves. By making nurses and doctors follow the code of conduct it means people will hopefully get better care than they would have done without the code of conduct.

This shows that they had been trying to make the code of conduct more effective to make more people feel more comfortable in the hospital, as well as making sure everyone who works with the public have minimal training so they know how to treat patients.

It is a law which has been thought of and considered collectively among others which once passed, applies to everyone. Effectiveness A woman called Janet Tracey, had been fighting against a terminal cancer.

It is important to have a code of conduct as it gives people in the professional setting know the attitude they should have and how they should act in the care setting that they are in.

So for anyone who feels as though any of their rights have been violated then they can go to court about how they feel their rights have been violated. Some weaknesses of this is that it can be hard to prove that discrimination has taken place in the first place.

Another negative is that the code of conduct physically cannot ever cover everything within a health care environment as it is a wide field of work.

A strength is that it raises awareness of discrimination in a work place, and with this it has widened the jobs that are available to other groups as they know that they have the same chances of getting the job as other people do.

It also shows effectiveness as there has been less cases going through the tribunal system, so it shows the Equality Act has helped tackle discrimination at all levels.

A regulation is a rule which had been made and must be maintained by an authority, such as the NHS or the council. In the judgement, Lord Dyson, said the hospital violated the right to respect her private life, coming under the article 8 of the European convention of human rights.

The European convention of human rights is amazing for us living in the UK or anywhere else in Europe as it means we are able to have freedom in what we do and how we do things. A strength of the European convention of human rights is that it has allowed individuals to make complaints to the European Commission on Human Rights sincewhich can make each and every individual in Europe to feel like they can have an opinion and be able to understand their rights as a whole for the first time.

Anti-discriminatory practice is very important in society as it is used to overcome prejudice whilst promoting equality; to help with this National Initiative began with the three main initiatives being; conventions, legislations and regulations.

A weakness of the European convention of human rights is that if everyone is treated in the same way then that means we treat murders the same as someone who shop lifted? It was soon announced that there would be a minimum training standards.

As it stands at the moment both go through and are entitled to appeal through the same legal process although their crimes are so different and the degree of criminality is so different. What are the three main initiatives?
